Solidarity visit to Nobel Laureate Sviatlana Alexievich
After a spontaneous solidarity visit yesterday, we are back at the hospitable home of Nobel Laureate Sviatlana Alexievich as an almost full Team.
We, the ambassadors of the EU, Austria, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania and Romania, as well as the chargés d'affaires of the Netherlands, Poland, the Slovak Republic, Sweden, and the Head of the Finnish Liaison Office, admire the courage and persistence of Ms Alexievich and all other members of Belarus’ Coordination Council and other citizen initiatives in voicing their demands for rule of law in Belarus, for the dignity of their people, and for the sovereignty and independence of their country.
